Greenport Venlo / Venlo Greenpark

The ambition, dynamics and growth potential that are so typical of Fresh Park Venlo are also typical of the town’s environs. Venlo is very much on the move.

Greenport Venlo
Greenport Venlo is one of the Netherlands’ five Greenports. This second Dutch horticultural region owes its growing significance primarily to its strategic position close to key sales markets like Germany and Central Europe. Greenport Venlo is not only an organisation or an area in Europe, it is also a unique collaboration between the private and public sectors, science, education and the environment. The close collaboration between the various parties at Greenport Venlo will provide a unique boost to the economy of North Limburg over the coming decades.
The Venlo region, the province of Limburg and Ondernemend Limburg, a joint-venture between three local employers’ organisations, have joined forces in Stichting Greenport Venlo (Greenport Venlo Foundation). The primary aim of this foundation is to work together to make our Greenport and its national and international communication and branding a success.

Development Company Greenport Venlo
DCGV is the most important development company in Greenport Venlo. DCGV was established in late 2009 by its shareholders, the municipal authorities of Horst aan de Maas, Peel en Maas and Venlo, and the provincial authorities of Limburg. DCGV aims to boost development, turnover and employment in the agro-logistic sector.
In the years to come, DCGV will develop an area called Klavertje 4 northwest of Venlo, between the A67 and A73 motorways, in the logistic hotspot Venlo. The development will comprise more than 5400 hectares. New innovative business parks harmonising with the surrounding landscape will be developed in the Greenport Venlo area on the basis of the Cradle2Cradle (C2C) principles. Sustainability will be the keyword in the development and implementation process.
